This piece is inspired by a moment that resonated far beyond music.

In his music video, Benito uses a vintage radio to deliver a message about immigration, identity, and the people who continue to shape this country while too often being targeted, ignored, or erased. The scene speaks directly to the reality many Latino communities know well: resilience in the face of oppression, displacement, and political attacks.

The radio represents more than sound.
It represents memory. Community. Resistance.
The voices passed from one generation to the next in kitchens, bodegas, barber shops, stoops, and city streets.

Latinos have helped build this country for generations. Through labor, culture, music, activism, sacrifice, and survival, our fingerprints are everywhere.
